I was just wondering if anyone had planned on
giving Songbook for Christmas. I bought
Songbook for my brother who has been bothering me about "burning" my 4 disc set
for him. I won't make free copies of my masterpiece for anyone out of respect.
Also, my hometown has an "angel tree" for needy famies with requests of gifts.
I was touched by a 12 year old boy who wanted a John Denver CD so I bought him one.
Then I went back and got him a Gord's Gold
CD because I figured with his taste in music,
he may like it too. I love to give Lightfoot
music as gift. I think if it makes someone else as happy to listen as it makes me, then
it was a good gift.
Does anyone else give Lightfoot music for X-mas???

I think Lightfoot music is the ultimate gift! I haven't given Lightfoot music as a gift because I don't personally know anyone who loves Lightfoot like I do...but I have received the gift of Lightfoot and what a Blessing that was!

I think the "angel tree" child will love your gift!

The short answer is YES. I sent the recent greatest hits thing to my buddy's son in CA hoping to stir some interest and to add to the sales figures.
He listened and his Dad is teaching him some guitar but at 14 I may have missed my window of opportunity. But I'll keep trying. Now if we all buy at least one CD for someone for Christmas........ http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif

I just bought my dad songbook for Christmas. I know he will like it. I owe him since he is the one that got me into his music when I was a we little snapper(25+ years ago).

Good gift choice Christine! Your dad is gonna be VERY happy on Christmas morn. As for me, I own everything Gord has ever released, so I've asked Santa to bring me a guitar so's I can start playing along! (Oh, also asked for new banjo strings so I can dig out my five-string and rekindle that old passion too. Bluegrass and Steve Martin got me into the banjo back in the mid-70s...ahh, fond memories of the good ol' college days!) Merry Christmas/Happy Hannukah/Kool Kwanzaa everyone!
