Congratulations on winning the trivia contest, and you made a wonderful music choice. That song is the one that took me from being a Lightfoot fan to being a fanatic.

OK, did anyone notice that Gord's kid must be on You Tube?! Video doesn't look fake of girl calling him "daddy" and him casually peeking in on the room and saying "howdy" at her request.

yep - that's "dad" and 12 year old daughter Meredith...view them while you can cuz when Dad gets home it'll probably be gone..

she's pretty techno savvy for her age and has musical talent as well...

I love all these Lightfoot videos from Stonewall Studios, they're beautifully done. I wonder now that Google has purchased YouTube if they will still be accessible?? I hope so.

I have opened a new topic Gordon Lightfoot's StonewallStudios Video Playlist (GLSVP)with 14/20 Youtube links to the Gordon Lightfoot videos I have "produced", to date with Christian Island and Flying Blind in production at this moment. :D

As for Google/Youtube...there will only be a problem for Directors like me, if Gooogle decides to transform Youtube from a video viewing site to a video-download and sale site...(ergo-Google Video)...my hunch is they just might leave Youtube as is...then transfer copyright-clean-original "Proven-Youtube-Hit-Videos" for sale through their retail video outlet...Google Video... ;)

In the long run Youtube could be like a google video nursery where they might tolerate some weeds and thorns like me amongst the original hybrid's they are really interested in ...if you get my drift. :cool:

ps. It was great producing the video with you Wes...nice call on the song...it has opened an avalanche of Lightfoot interest and video requests.

And Cathy, I couldn't agree more on Restless as almost a study in Gord's imagery. I also made a request in another thread for two image-rich ideas - Is There Anyone Home, and A Lesson In Love.

Waddya think ? And, if I were to be greedy.. :D , what do y'All think about Circle of Steel, or even Now and Then ! I'd better rein-in my enthusiasm while they are knocking out such vast work already. Can't rush artistic genius ! :D geo Steve

Cathy and Bro10, Glad you agree on Beautiful, but I am slowly downloading what may be it now, I'm not sure - its described in French, with Gord, and includes the word "Beautiful". i.e. avel le Chanson "Beautiful" I believe it said.. its coming in in bits now and sure enough its the song ! Beautiful !

With my dial-up, and me being SOL as its been said, (oh, all I gotta do is set up a seperate DSL or cable T[n]line, where [n = 10 or 100] out here I believe, from Comcast, or even DSL, thas all I gotta do, oh and another seperate phone line aaagggh ! $$$$ LOL), its slow loadin' , but sure as heck it is Beautiful the song. I agree with both of ya on Drink Yer Glasses Empty. I heard two version sof the meaning of that song. One was allegedly per Gord - that he lost an older brother while quite young to flying bombers or hellcat fighters in WWII, or a 2nd version of this.

You two recall ? I think it may have been in the songbook "book", which is packed way in a box somewhere now. Teejay and team's work is fantastic ! Do I understand correctly that Teejay is the one that changed his "handle" in corfid to the native Canadian word Gahoendoe ?
He is truly a remarkable artist in many senses.
