Your like me!!! Well, at least I think your like me, you've named yourself after an airplane. I LOVE flying! I'm a future pilot.
"Early Moring Rain" talks about a Boeing 707 getting ready to fly. Mr. Lightfoot also said in the Songbook that he wrote "Waiting For You" on a plane one night. He talks about the "Stars of North America" in it.

Hiway Songs has a few references to flying: "New York seems so far away, but I was there just yesterday." New York probably meaning the city, Gord might be saying he took a plane home to Canada, or he might have just driven really fast.
"Heading North across that line, is the only time I'm flying." Once again, going home to Canada from the US, probably on a plane.

"I'll give you the keys to my flying machine if you like"

"he had to buy a plane to get around"

Gordon did not right(sic) the second quote, but he certainly wrote the first.

You know,if you really think about it,"The Pony Man",is about flying. It's flying in a dream of course but it's still flying. The children board the pony's and they all fly off into the midnight sky. It took me long time to think of another flying song besides,"Early Morning Rain". Good question! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif Catch ya on the flipperside of Sundown! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/cool.gif
