(I started writing this before, but lost it, so it may come up twice)
I hope many of you saw the story of the Edmund Fitzgerald on the History Ch. tonight. It was on at 8PM on the west coast. I taped it. It was excellent. I was hoping for a mention of Gordon and sure enough, at almost half-time of the show, there was his picture. The narration said something about a Canadian musician who came along and made the wreck a permanent part of popular culture. Lightfoot's song "that is so powerful it is a eulogy for all ships that ever went down." They said it hit the top of the charts and immortalized the ship.
I hope GL was watching.
If you want to pay $24.95 you can buy it at HistoryChannel.com.

No,I didn't get to see it. I'm in AZ and I was watching TV last night but saw no mention of it on the TV Guide channel. Maybe it's not on here yet. I'll look for it!

I realized after my post above that this may have been a re-run and most of you had seen it at one time. Anyway, I truly enjoyed it.

This is a relatively new documentary. CBC and The Discovery Channel did one a number of years ago, but this is an entirely new one. I don't know when it was first aired; maybe just recently. There are reshowings tonight (Wed) at midnight, Saturday at 10pm and Sunday at 2am. Check your local listings.
