Do you think there is any chance that the company that is putting out the Beautiful tribute album would be able to handle the
new album from Gord? It's suppose to be a
folk label.

It's a joint effort between NorthernBlues and Borealis Records. Personally I'd like to see Gord and EMP do it themselves but I don't know how practical that is - duplication, cover art/liner notes, and especially effective marketing and distribution. I don't think the mechanics are particularly tricky but the detail may be more than he'd want to take on, preferring to leave it to the folks who do this for a living.

So is EMP just handle the tour stuff or does the recording get done there too?

EMP handles tours, fan correspondence, and all the 'business' like contracts, rights and royalties. As for recording, Gord has recorded different albums at different studios over the years. He used to have a recording studio in his Rosedale house that sold 5-6 years ago, and I believe he had one included when he had his new home built.
