I recall a song by GL which was very popular in the 70's, but the only words I remember clearly are "as my ship sails into Hell". Can anyone give me the title or lyrics to this song? Thanks.

JEReach, it wasn't Gordon Lightfoot's song; it was Roger Whittaker. He hit #19 with "The Last Farewell" in 1975. It also went #1 for one week on the Adult Contemporary Chart. Elvis also recorded the song on the "From Elvis Presley Blvd Memphis, Tn" in 1976.
