Is there any site that anyone knows of that has a list of songs that charted on the Canadian charts durring the 60s? I know with this being Black History Month and I figure either in March or early April BDIJ would of been released and of course was banned in the U.S in part because of Martin Luther King's assasination. I belong to various messge boards and I like to mention such trivia.

I need a new

In fact I am surprised that arch chartist Borderstone did not leap in to tell you
I only came across the requisite site a couple of years ago whilst researching the
highest position that
"Spin Spin" reached in 1966
by googling for "Spin Spin" chart I found
http://www.webfitz.com/lyrics/Charts/1966/Ch196610.html
which is per google search results
"Canadian Charts for October 1966"
sub title
"Canadian Weekly Chart Listings from 1957 to 1986"
when that opened I clicked the "search" link got the
http://lyrics.webfitz.com/
home page searched there for BDIJ got nowhere returned to the 1966
page again and tried the "canadian charts" link then tentatively selected May 1968
Bingo BDIJ was:-
number 17 on May 6th but fell to
29 on the 13th and
49 on the 29th
oops wrong way.
so tried April 1968:
35 on April 1
30 on the 8th
24 on the 15th ain't this exciting!!!
20 on the 2nd
18 on the 29th
so it looks like 17 was the peak see:-
http://www.webfitz.com/lyrics/Charts/1968/Ch196805.html
whilst there I also noticed that at "40. Angel Of The Morning Merrilee Rush & The Turnabouts"
of which there is for me a favo(u)ite later version by Juice Newton
http://www.luma-electronic.cz/lp/n/Newton/newton_juice.jpg
the first JN vinyl I ever bought
currently high in the queue of old LPs to be digitised into a CD for my own use
