Comments on the PBS Special ??

To everyone who has made a production out of announcing when the PBS special is airing in their town,

At least give those of us living out in the hinterlands WHO WILL NOT GET TO SEE IT just a few tidbits of info on the show.

I too am not one of the chosen few million who get to view the concert, but thanks to v.mageeI was able to make a pledge to a pbs station who is showing the concert, and I will be able to enjoy the video. May I suggest you try this approach as well, 75 bucks is what I spend on a G.L. concert for two, so why not Own the gift that keeps giving!!!! J.W.

I too am not one of the chosen few million who get to view the concert, but thanks to v.mageeI was able to make a pledge to a pbs station who is showing the concert, and I will be able to enjoy the video. May I suggest you try this approach as well, 75 bucks is what I spend on a G.L. concert for two, so why not Own the gift that keeps giving!!!! J.W.

That is a good idea... but for those of us on a tight budget... simply go out and buy Lightfoot's own CDs. That's what I did today after having the sudden revelation while watching the special that his songs are tremendous. I bought "Over 60 Minutes with Lightfoot" and am enjoying it as I write.

Like Leonard Cohen, however, his voice doesn't do his compositions justice. I'm bemoaning the fact that Canada's all time best vocalist, Catherine Mckinnon, never made an album of mainly Lightfoot music.

Hi I live in Phoenix when was it on I flick to pbs from time to time. I didn't see anything about it saw Harry tracey again but nothing on the concert, when was it on and how much would it cost to get the tape.
