I am so excited. I just bought the UAC 2 discs
Gordon Lightfoot CD. I am sure I had it years ago and shared with a friend and never saw it again. :) It has 49 older songs that I really enjoy. Just wanted to share.

JF-Where in the world do you get this stuff? Bear Family Records has a recording studio in the Catskill Mountains. Among their artists-Todd Rundgren, Jim Steinman (composer of the fabulous 'Bat out of Hell'),and Meatloaf(singer of Bat Out of Hell')Hail Hail Bear Family Records!

Yes it is a great CD, I received it as a gift this past Christmas, and have been listening to it A LOT. I especially like Disk 1 (or if you prefer, the 1st 2 albumns which are "Lightfoot!" and "The Way I Feel"), and in particular the 2nd version of the song The Way I Feel (# 26), although there are many many songs I love.

Enjoy!

I thought it was pretty common knowledge that
Bear Family records have issued three repackaged CDs of the 5 UA albums
their website lists them at:-
http://www.bear-family.de/mailorder/showoneartistbear.html?lang=de&w=L&a=LIGHTFOOT%2C+Gordon&repid=bearonly&
and they are as I said in Germany as you can see in Hamburg and no that is not the Hamburg in New York State (home of the
original hmburger per urban legend)
the same state as the Catskills AFAIK
Now quite where you could buy these desirable cds I am not sure sometimes on ebay. but currently amazon.com have 12 listed in the "used" section but are all claimed to be brand new and some still sealed from 16.95 at:-

Bear Family Records is a German company with no connection to the Catskills! You are confusing them with Papa Bear Records. (And, no, I didn't know of that record company before. I had to Google to find it. But I knew it wasn't Bear Family).

On this fabulous Sunday Concert Plus, you get the great Lightfoot song, "Spin Spin." My favo(u)rite line from that song is...

And my daddy said when I was young,
"Beware the web of love, my son,
To be in love is to be in sane, (http://www.gordonlightfoot.com/Lyrics/SpinSpin.txt)
Make an old man groan, a young man pain!"

There's also Bob Dylan's, Just Like Tom Thumb Blues. Two versions of Movin', a song written by Gord, Im pretty sure in the 60's...{Flower People}... ;) Very beautiful song... And I'll Be Alright... 1,2, Ah, 1,2,3,4...

I do have that Album,{CD} but thanks to Sir John Fowles for showing the pics... :)
