Hello, everyone. Does anyone know if there is a Martin guitar, model Gordon Lightfoot for sale on this planet, or any other? I would love to add this stellar model to my collection.
How is the weather in the U.K.? I love it over there, and have some open invitations to play in England and Scotland.

Hi Sean,

I don't know of any at the moment, but one comes up for sale from time to time. The usual selling price is between about $4500 and $5000, although a few have gone for more than that. The original list was $3500 and initially you could get them for the usual discounts.

Jim Holler, a luthier, had one for sale several months ago. It may still be available. I believe he was looking for $5000. If you are interested, even in that price level, I'll dig up his contact info.

It's a great guitar; sounds better than most D-18s (certainly any recent model, and also most vintage models). I know quite a few D-18GL owners including a couple that have posted here. A few have gotten together for jam sessions (but they play all their guitars, not just the D-18GL).

Mine is #22. Too bad I can't play!

Thanks, Valerie. I appreciate the info. As usually, I am "a day late and a dollar short." I will get back to you toward the middle of this month, as my royaly statement may become available. I wish I had purchased it back when it probably sold for $2,400, or so. Oh, well!
By the way, your web site is fabulous! I often go to it, and ecently subscribed.
My thanks,
Sean
