Sounds like we have a winner <sigh - not me>. Any runner-up prize for first to post to this site? Just the glory, I guess.

Well if we all agree Restless is the winner I'm ready to pay off as soon as the CD is available, I'll buy it as soon as it goes up for "preorder" status anywhere. One question for any of you smart folks: How do I verify that the person who sends me the name and address to ship to is the real Restless, right now the Restless profile has no current email listed. Any ideas, Restless, how about it?
Let me know.

I'm not getting overly excited.... I read release dates for the last 4 Gord Lightfoot LP's and also the release date for Reno on DVD neither materialized here in Canada.... I'm still waiting to see Salute and Shadows in my local stores same goes for Reno.

At least I have a credit card now... I'll order it online so I have it. http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif

ROTFLMAO! Take it easy, Gaby. Don't blow a gasket!

DMD3, you are mixing up the words half and have. Unless you are talking about 50% (half) of something, then you would probably be safe using the word "have".

"I have to cut this apple in half"

But that's okay. I don't know the difference between affect and effect. Could never figure it out. We all have (not half) our little quirks.

Okay. I have to (not half to) go play my guitar for half an hour or so... http://www.corfid.com/ubb/wink.gif

We all have our pet peeves, I suppose. But this one is, particularly, mine. It seems that I already had this explanation for DMD a few weeks back but I half to think that it went have-way over his head!

No offense there DMD but you seem to half hit on one that makes many of us have crazy!

Hi, BillW. Many thanks for being good for your word. However...

Release dates often change, so I won't consider myself a "winner" until it's absolutely finalized.

Also, if I do win this little contest, I'd prefer that the free disc go to another of us posters. From reading certain posts, I get the impression that some of us may qualify as "poor" and truly struggle to save up to buy Lightfoot albums. I'm certainly not wealthy (far from it), but I can pretty much purchase any CD anytime I please. If we can identify one of us who is on the poor side, then maybe the free disc can go to that person.

(My impression may be completely wrong, so I welcome any feedback on this matter.)

Restless,

I like that thought and will be happy to comply. If it's you who ends up the winner I'll send it to anyone you designate from this corfidland cast of characters. But I know from experience that it's sometimes hard to tell "poor-mouth" from actual net worth so you'll half/have to be the judge.

Peace,

Bill http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif

I had hoped to avoid the responsibility of selecting a recipient! If anybody has any nominees, that'd be much appreciated. You can even nominate yourself, if done with honesty, etc.

Again, come spring there may be a different winner based on a new release date, so we can wait and see...

Restless,
In my humble opinion, you should accept your prize. You won. I always try to give gifts
or offerings when I am able, and sometimes
feel a little hurt when people turn me down.
You can always give yourself, if you feel like your blessed enough.
I always cheerfully accept anything that people choose to give, because I know that the giver WANTED to do it.
We are not talking charity here.
Please forgive me if someone feels that this is none of my business. Just an opinion.

I don't get the joke, Snyder. Perhaps you should receive the prize...for being the most messed up politically, psychologically, and every which way.

Just "joking" up here in my "holy heights" (whatever the heck that means)!

restless, snyder has not meant to step on your toes, what I am saying is that charity is very nice, please don't misconstrue my comments, it was intended as a comment not to insult you...please accept my deepest most humble apologies, restless. Perhaps this was an insult, not meant that way, not from the most politically and psychologically messed up person here... wow, you really know how to hurt a guy.

Yes, Snyder deleted some snide remarks. Too bad. It was a fine example of pure insanity.

Well I'm glad you said "deleted" because I coudn't figure this one out after scrolling up and down about 6 times. But whoever the winner is, I will send the CD to whoever they designate. Not having seen the deleted post I can't figure why that should bother anyone ? After all.....

This sort of thing happens all too often. There are 3 people here that write asinine posts, get a response from the person they directed it at and then delete their post and act like the victim. It was no mystery to me why it looked like Restless was spouting off over nothing.

It's like a little kid punching his brother in the nose and then getting hit back. The brat who started the fight runs to the mother and says he was hit for no reason. Perhaps Gwen needs to have editing and deleting priveledges taken away until she can learn to stop playing games.

Only then will she learn not to flame, delete and then act like the vicitim. If there were an award for head games, she would get the life-time achievement award.
