D'you think if I mailed him and asked if he would release a studio recorded cover of Ballad Of the Yarmouth Castle, do you think he would? Would he even respond?
Of course, I'll wait before I do that. First I must send him a birthday card as well. :)

I don't think he'll revisit (as in re-record) the old songs but nobody says you can't ask. Gord tends to be a forward-looking person.

I had to make a special stop at the library for this message. I decided to put it here since it's two days until Gordon's birthday.
Tonight,I went out to "ZIA" records (they deal in old vinyl/cassettes and new & used CD's & movies) and guess what I find? :)
Less than two days before Gord turns 67 and I discover a "good" cassette copy of (ta-da-da-da-dee-dumm!) "Don Quixote"! :D  WOW! In a mark down rack for only 99 cents + tax! ;)
The cover paper is near perfect but i did have to buy a new plastic box. It was even rewound! Just thought I'd share,as well as not startt a new thread just for this. 'Night all! :)

Hey Borderstone, good find! Sounds like a major steal at $.99. Now you can listen to DQ for Gord's birthday. Enjoy!

Lavender...I certainly will!! ;)
Since my record player is kaput! :( I haven't heard "DQ" completely since early last year.
Good thing I got to record all the songs from all my vinyl LPs onto seperate tapes before that happened.
(I purposely took different songs from different LP's / Cd's to make them interesting.)
